Mahatma Gandhi Medical College and
Research Institute, Pondicherry is
opened in the year 2001. The college is situated in Pillaiyarkuppam,
Pondicherry/Puducherry.
The college was started by Sree
Balaji Educational and Charitable Public Trust. It is a constituent part of Sri
BalajiVidyapeeth University, deemed university.
The institute is approved by the
Medical Council of India (MCI), New Delhi and recognized by the Government of
Puducherry.
The college also offers diploma
courses in the field of medical science. The institute is aimed at imparting
medical education and producing well trained health personnel who can support
the healthcare system.

science with more than 50%marks. Surgery is essentially the process of
utilizing instrumental techniques on a person by the doctors for investigating
